Plastic recycling, placed where it fits.
BlackBridge is a multi-material recycling broker — and plastic is the material we move most. HDPE, PP, LDPE, PET in both post-industrial and post-consumer grades.

Why a broker, not a recycler
We’re not a recycler. We don’t grind, wash, or extrude — we connect the supplier generating the load with the end user whose spec fits it. Over 17,000 plastic loads since 2011, across 29 grades actively flowing today.
For plastic specifically, grade matters more than almost any other material. HDPE blow grade behaves differently than HDPE injection grade. Post-consumer can’t always substitute for post-industrial. A broker who sees both sides of the transaction can tell you ahead of time whether your load will hit spec — not after your truck’s already rolling.
Our plastic buyer network spans domestic compounders, export markets, and packaging converters. Your material finds the highest-value home, not the closest one.
Common questions
What plastic grades are hardest to place?
Highly contaminated post-consumer streams, color-mixed loads without sorting, and very low volumes of niche polymers. None are impossible, but all affect turnaround and placement options. Tell us what you have and we’ll tell you what’s realistic.
Do you handle PVC, polystyrene, or other plastics outside HDPE/PP/LDPE/PET?
Case by case. Our core volume is in HDPE, PP, LDPE, and PET. Other polymers we evaluate individually.
Can BlackBridge handle mixed plastics?
Yes, but grade segregation is almost always worth the effort. A mixed HDPE/PP bale places at lower value than segregated loads. We’ll walk through preparation options specific to your generating process.
Do you support post-consumer content (PCR) claims?
Yes. We work with suppliers whose material is verifiable as post-consumer with chain-of-custody documentation. For certifications like APR PCR Certified, we support the paperwork side.

Frequently Asked Questions — Plastic Scrap
What plastic grades does BlackBridge Recycling buy?
We buy HDPE (natural and colored bales, regrind, Z-bales), PET (clear, green, mixed bottle bales, flake), LDPE film and bales, polypropylene (PP bales, regrind, super sacks), and mixed-rigid bales. We also move post-industrial off-spec resin, purgings, and lump. If you’re unsure of the grade, send a photo and bale tag and we’ll classify it.
What is the minimum quantity you’ll buy?
Truckload quantities are easiest to move — typically 40,000 lbs baled or 42,000 lbs of regrind. We’ll work with LTL on higher-value grades (natural HDPE, clear PET flake, clean PP regrind) but freight economics get tight under 20,000 lbs. If you generate consistently, we can set up scheduled pickups so you never sit on partial loads.
Do you handle the freight or do I arrange it?
Both options are on the table. Most shippers prefer we handle freight — we run BlackBridge Logistics in-house, so we book the truck, handle the BOL, and net it against your settlement. If you have your own carriers or a freight program, we’ll quote material FOB your dock. Tell us which works better for your operation.
How fast does BBR pay?
Standard terms are Net 30 from receipt and verified weight at the mill. We can shorten to Net 15 or Net 7 for established suppliers, and we do quick-pay on first loads to build trust. Payment is by ACH or check — your preference. No factoring, no holdbacks beyond contamination claims documented with photos.
Do you take contaminated or off-spec bales?
Yes — within reason. We move plenty of B-grade and off-color material that strict mills reject. Send photos of the bales and tell us what’s in them (wrong color mix, label contamination, moisture, mixed resin). We’ll quote it honestly at the grade we can actually sell it as. We don’t downgrade after the fact without sharing photos.
What regions do you cover?
We’re headquartered in Wall Township, NJ and ship coast to coast plus export. Northeast and Mid-Atlantic are our densest pickup lanes — we can usually get a truck to your dock within 2-3 business days. West Coast, Southeast, and Midwest pickups run on freight availability. Call 800-449-5084 with your zip and we’ll check truck capacity same day.
